Here is an excerpt of one of my favorite book that I treasure alot and recommended the most. "Why Revival Tarries" by Leonard Ravenhill.
Like the prophets of the Old Testament, Mr Ravenhill bears the heart and message of God to God's people. Never one to mince his words, this book expressed the concerns of moral breakdown, the decline of spiritual health of the church. Just like the prophets Jeremiah, Malachi, Elijah and others, Mr Ravenhill is one such person that God raised at crtical moment of history to reprove, rebuke and exhort in the name of God and righteousness.Here is an excerpt from the book:
"Poverty-stricken as the Church is today in many things, she is most stricken here, in the place of praver. We have many organizers, but few agonizers; many players and payers, few pray-ers; many singers, few clingers; lots of pastors, few wrestlers; many fears, few tears; much fashion, little passion; many interferers, few intercessors; many writers, but few fighters. Failing here, we fail everywhere."
